Practice Requirements- All 5th through 8th
grade band students are required to practice a minimum of four days
per week, spending no less than 30 minutes per day, for a total of 120
minutes.Each student has received a practice chart that is to be
filled in on a weekly basis, and signed by one parent or guardian. If
the chart is not completed, the student receives a zero for that day.
Attendance Requirements- All students are required to check the
weekly schedule posted in Mr. Komarek's room to determine the scheduled
lesson time for the week. Each student has been furnished with a copy of
this same schedule. It is the student's responsibility to arrive on time
to the lesson. If the student cannot attend the lesson due to a test or
special event in class, then the student must notify Mr. Komarek.
Unexcused absences from lessons result in a zero for the day. Four
absences in one marking period may result in dismissal from band for the
remainder of the school year.
