The DTS vocal and instrumental music curriculum provides opportunities for all students to develop the skills, understandings and dispositions essential to lifelong learning.  The curriculum is founded on research based best practices and is supported by on going professional development for faculty.  The primary goal is to promote academic growth while enhancing social and emotional development through meaningful musical experiences.  These experiences integrate literacy and all content areas and challenge our students to make cultural and historical connections.  The curriculum reflects a continuum of developing skills and provides for opportunities for self expression, aesthetic engagement, critical analysis and the development of leadership skills.  For the students of Delaware Township School, music education provides an enriched quality of life and an increased potential for life success.
