their own Celebrate NJ! activities.
- Visit each of NJ's
tourism regions

parks choose different types of activities(e.g.,
how far can you bike on connected greenways? how
far can you canoe? How many sites can you drive
to in a weekend?)
- Select a theme (e.g.,
“Walk, bike, canoe, drive where Patriots marched
- "a
Revolutionary War Trail through New Jersey")
- Drive NJ's
scenic highways
- Link nationally
designated areas within the state (e.g.,
Pine
Barrens,
Coastal Heritage Trail, proposed Crossroads
of the American Revolution National Heritage
Area),
Morristown National Historic Park,
The Great Swamp
- Visit NJ's bioregions
(e.g., Highlands, Piedmont/Coastal Plains,
Pinelands, Coastal, Delaware Bay)
- Acquaint yourself with
NJ's many
famous people (inventors, artists,
sports figures) from the comfort of your
armchair!
- Stroll through
NJ's beautiful gardens and arboretums
- Visit some of
NJ's 600
museums or

theaters or "collect"
NJ's lighthouses
or wineries
- Create a NJ "treasure"
hunt (e.g.,
car/motorcycle/bikers rally)
- Organize your travels by
chronology (e.g., do a New Jersey “bests”
timeline with sites and activities associated
with each event)
