Science Fair Guidelines

Friday, April 18th

6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

DTS Cafeteria

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to a change in plans,

it is requested that all projects remain on display

in the Cafeteria throughout Science Night on Friday evening. 

                                Projects can be taken home the week of April 21st.                                                

 

 Goals:

~ to have students learn about experimentation through the use of the scientific method

~ for each student to have a positive experience in creating a science project

~ for each student to learn to collect data and display it in some form

Overview:

 The science night, which will be held on April 18th, is non-competitive. Students' projects will be evaluated in the areas of technical skill, scientific thought, ingenuity, precision, and creativity. All experimentation is to be completed by the student, with the results displayed on their boards. The science night will be open to everyone on the evening of the 18th. Students will also be receiving a project grade from their classroom teacher.
